Our human brain microvascular endothelial cells (HBMECs) are primary endothelial cells isolated from human brain tissue, providing a physiologically relevant in vitro model of the blood-brain barrier (BBB). These cells exhibit characteristic endothelial morphology and are ideal for studying CNS drug delivery, transendothelial transport, neuroinflammation, and barrier integrity.

HBMECs are widely used in co-culture models with astrocytes or pericytes to simulate the neurovascular unit and support research into BBB permeability, leukocyte adhesion, and neurological disease mechanisms. Each lot is prepared under standardized conditions and tested to ensure high viability, purity, and in vitro performance.
