Our pooled human intestinal enterocytes are primary epithelial cells isolated from ethically sourced small intestine tissue obtained from ten individual donors. Cultured under optimized conditions, these cells retain key physiological characteristics of native intestinal epithelium, supporting diverse studies on nutrient absorption, drug transport, and intestinal barrier integrity.

Each 10-donor pool offers increased biological diversity, providing a representative in vitro model for investigating intestinal function, permeability, inflammation, and metabolism. As part of our rigorous quality control, EpCAM expression is verified to confirm epithelial identity and high cellular purity. These enterocytes are well-suited for use in monolayer or co-culture systems to model the intestinal barrier in drug discovery, toxicology, and gastrointestinal research.
