Blood-Brain Barrier

Blood-brain barrier regulates permeability of compounds from a bloodstream into brain tissue. Some molecules may exhibit toxicity towards the BBB, and lead to increased permeability, inflammation, and hence brain injury. Therefore BBB modelling is highly essential for assessment of distribution of molecules and adverse effects of drug modalities. We offer a co-culture models for such task, extracted from primary brain tissues, and can predictably assess molecule distribution.
