Vessels

Vascular tissue regulates nutrient exchange, immune cell trafficking, oxygen delivery, and maintenance of tissue homeostasis and is highly sensitive to inflammatory, metabolic, and hypoxic stress. Cross-talk between endothelial cells, stromal fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, and immune populations strongly affects vascular permeability, extracellular matrix remodeling, cytokine secretion, and progression of inflammatory injury. Disturbance of vascular homeostasis may lead to endothelial dysfunction, fibrosis, thrombogenic activation, and irreversible tissue damage. Therefore, incorporation of multiple native vascular components is highly essential for predictive modelling of vascular toxicity and inflammatory responses. Preci offers both microvascular and macrovascular tissue models composed of primary vascular-derived cells within physiologically relevant ECM-supported microenvironments, enabling investigation of barrier integrity, inflammatory activation, immune cell infiltration, fibrotic remodeling, angiogenic responses, and compound-induced vascular injury in vitro.
